Raised in Barachois, a small Acadian village along the south east coast of New Brunswick, Canada, Michele moved to Ottawa, Ontario in 1992 upon completing a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Intrigued by art since childhood, Michele further explored her passion for painting as an adult, advancing her skills through a combination of courses and her own experiences.
Over the years, Michele has shown her work in several Canadian galleries and art exhibits in Ottawa, Ontario, her native hometown, in Washington DC and Maryland.
Michele’s work is inspired by her French Canadian culture. While searching for order and minimalism, Michele’s art ranges from simplified contemporary abstracts to calculated realistic compositions. Through colour, texture and mood, her work translates the stillness of the moment back to the viewer.
